DEFENSIVE CARBINE I, II, III

A three class course focusing on the use of a carbine in a tactical and defensive posture. Designed to introduce the shooter to the world of tactical shooting, students are immersed in a structured course of instruction starting with the principles and ending with team coordination exercises and drills under stress. Each previous course is a prerequisite of the next giving the students building blocks and steps to expand their skills.

The first in a series, this beginner tactical course teaches students about the basic principles of using a carbine. Gear placement, shooting form, magazine changes, malfunctions and marksmanship are combined in a progressive block coupled with situational awareness.

Building from DCI, shooters learn to take the basics and expand on movement, use of barricades, and working in tandem with teammates and different types of commands. It’s all about the shoot, move and communicate!

The final course expands the movement drills, team commands and includes distractions, added stress and forces students to utilize the outside the box style of thinking. Tying in all basics, and intermediate skills, students will put themselves to the test and must work with each other to hone the tactical advantage.
